PAINTING FROM "THE INFERNO" RETURNS TO THE HYDE
October, 2023
A community favorite painting from the Hyde House made a long journey home last week after being featured in the Jeu de Paume gallery of Château de Chantilly in France. Paolo and Francesca, by Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres in 1819 returned from a Ingres exhibition at the historic French château.
COMMON COUNCIL CONTINUES DEBATE ON COMMUNICATIONS POSITION
August 2023
City officials debated whether or not the city needs a Communication Director for the rest of the year of if the position should remain unfilled until the Common Council can work through the budget process and add the position next year. The discussion came in the wake of the resignation of Tim Drawbridge earlier this month. He was the city’s budget director.

The Castleton Spartan staff was unable to travel to New York for the College Media Association's annual conference due to COVID-19. But that didn't mean they were excluded from the Apple Awards and being recognized at a national level.
